Ron Wilkinson, the baritone with the voice that is fluffy and relaxing to the ear. His new CD “Welcome into Me” blends Smooth Jazz, Blues and Rock into what he has entitled Blujaroc. The CD contains musical contributions from Saxophonist Ronnie Laws, Singer Freda Payne and Producer Preston Glass.
Ron’s musical credits include opening for Nancy Wilson and Jennifer Holiday. He has performed around the nation with such notables as Michael Henderson, Ray Parker Jr., Tyrone Davis and Buddy Guy. He is currently working locally with Ron and Friends,The Jazz Edge Big Band and The Meremac Jazz Lab Big Band.
He has an impressive list of credits in the television and Film Industries, with small roles in “Dirty Harry”, “Mr. Billions” with Jackie Gleason, “The Chinese Connection” and “The Streets Of San Francisco”. His recent credits include The Movie “Tapestry of Shadows” and “The Presidents Casino” Television commercial.Additional credits are available upon request.
He has also lectured in academic settings with his motivational speaking program in Middle and High Schools across the nation and locally. This program is called “One Life Time And That’s All”.
